Healing is an essential aspect of a person's life. Emotional healing is important and at times avoided. Since therapy is a collaborative process, I can facilitate this process by providing you with the appropriate tools to start the healing process through art therapy and verbal counseling. My goal is for you to utilize these tools to live a fuller, happier life, and at the end, achieve wellness. You will feel empowered and you will look at life challenges with a different perspective. I focus on the client's positive skills and strengths to start the counseling process.
I am a bilingual (Spanish) registered art therapist and licensed professional counselor, who have an extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe in an eclectic approach, in which you will be able to verbally or through creative art therapies, address your conflicts in a positive manner. I have been utilizing an eclectic approach by combining art therapy and diverse counseling approaches, such as Behavioral, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), in school settings, as well as, mental and behavioral health in partial, outpatient, and cancer center settings. I have completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and I am a member of the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEFT). |
