About me.. 

I am a graduate of Kean University's  Marriage and Family Therapy Post Graduate program and hold a Masters degree in Behavioral Science.  I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist which means that I have completed the highest level of training in this model.  To read more on the efficacy of this model, please see the attached article by Johnson and Wittenborn (2012) /uploads/2/3/7/6/2376006/johnson__wittenborn_2012.pdf .           

I have also  trained in individual, family, and systems work at Ackerman Institute for the Family in NYC .  My background includes working with diverse populations with a focus on cultural and gender differences.   I have over ten years of experience and have worked at Gay Men's Health Crisis in NYC, NY, as a Crisis Counselor, Family Service League in Montclair, NJ as a Senior Clinician and La Casa de Don Pedro  in Newark , NJ as their Child and Family Therapist. 

I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist Supervisor Candidate and offer supervision in this model.  For more information, please feel free to contact me. 

I offer a gay affirmative approach and have done extensive work with the LGBT community and the Latino population. 

I have been a guest speaker  at Kean Universitiy's  post-graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy and have presented workshops for NJAAMFT and La Casa De Don Pedro.  Currently, I am an adjunct professor for Kean University's Graduate Marriage and Family Therapy program.
